Learning how to create an ebook can be overwhelming. Not only do you have to write the content, but you also need to design and format it into a professional-looking document that people will want to download and read.
For this blog post, I will use the PowerPoint version of template two from our collection of five free ebook templates. Through each section of this post, I'll provide a side-by-side of the template slide and how I customized it.

Your ebook should be available for download through a landing page on your site. A landing page is a web page that promotes/describes your offer and provides a form that visitors need to fill out with their contact information to access your ebook. This is how you can convert your visitors into business leads that your sales team can ultimately follow up with.

April 17, 2004Box Score in PDF FormatDownload Free Acrobat ReaderCOLLEGE PARK, Md. - Maryland got off to a quick start, scoring two goals in the game's first three minutes and eight goals in the first 20 minutes and withstood a late North Carolina rally to hold on 11-9, Saturday afternoon at Ludwig Field. With the Tar Heels focused on shutting down Maryland's leading scorer Kelly Coppedge, Annie Collins and Jessica Dorney picked up the offensive slack for the Terps. Collins led all scorers with five points (tying her career-high) on two goals and three assists, while Dorney netted her sixth hat trick of the season. And despite UNC's efforts, Coppedge still finished with a goal and two assists."They did a good job of slowing Kelly down, and we knew we would have to have other people step up for us today," head coach Cindy Timchal said.Coppedge got things started for Maryland with her 55th goal of the season just a minute and a half into the game when she got a step in front of her defender at the top of the fan and took a pass from Collins to tally the score. Collins earned another assist just :48 later finding Delia Cox for the goal. The Terps have outscored opponents 16-4 in the first five minutes of the game this season."North Carolina is such a dangerous team, so it was important for us to get off to another quick start," Timchal said. After a goal by UNC's Beth Ames, Dorney scored two goals in :13 seconds to make the score 4-1, but UNC countered with scores by Jess Allen and Melissa McCarthy. With the score 4-3 with 20 minutes left in the first half, the Terps surged ahead with a 4-0 run in the next 10 minutes. Collins netted two goals and Cox and Acacia Walker each added unassisted goals for the Terps in that span to give Maryland an 8-3 lead with 10:06 remaining in the first half. After a timeout, the Tar Heels inserted Kristen Hordy in goal for Katelyn Hoffman. Hordy kept Maryland off the board for the rest of the first half and McCarthy found the back of the net for UNC to make the score 8-4 at half time.Maryland broke an almost 20 minute scoring drought when Coppedge, working behind the cage, found Laura Warren cutting through the middle of the fan for the first score of the second half at 22:03. Brooke Dieringer scored for UNC two minutes later, but the Terps responded with goals from Walker and Dorney to make the score 11-5 with 12:33 to go.The Tar Heels rallied scoring the game's next four goals and cut Maryland's lead to just two goals with just under five minutes remaining in the game, but after UNC's Ilsa Leon turned the ball over at the 4:18 mark and Maryland was able to maintain possession for the final minutes of the game to preserve the victory.Defensively, the Terps were able to limit scoring chances for UNC's top scorer, Beth Ames. The Terps held Ames to just two goals. UNC's second-leading scorer heading into today, Allison Higgins, had no points and no shots on the afternoon. In the cage for Maryland, Kirah Miles made six saves -- including two from point-blank range -- to help the Terps hold on to the victory. With the win, Maryland (12-2, 1-2) will be the third seed at next week's ACC Tournament in Chapel Hill. The Terps will play Virginia on Friday, April 23, at 3:30 p.m. Maryland will attempt to avenge its 10-8 loss to the Cavaliers earlier this season. North Carolina (8-6, 0-3) will take on top-seeded Duke at 1 p.m.Individual Scoring (G-A-Pts.) Tulane held a 38-26 lead at halftime and was up by 16 at 42-26 less than a minute into the final period of regulation. Houston, however, used a 20-0 run from during a span of 8:17 in the second half to take a 57-49 advantage before Tulane rallied late to tie the game at 60-all and send the game into overtime. Both teams scored five points in the initial overtime period, and Bibbins gave Tulane a 70-69 lead with a layup and a free throw with 1:43 to go in what proved to be the final stanza
"We had a 16-point lead and I thought we were playing pretty well," Tulane head women's basketball coach Lisa Stockton said. "We had some people with fouls sitting on the bench, but one of our strengths has usually been going pretty deep (into our bench) and it not affect us. We just weren't able to do that today. It started on the glass. (Houston) started getting on the glass and getting extra shots. They were getting to the free throw line and we didn't do a very good job of protecting the lead."
Tulane appeared to be in control of the ballgame when a Kaplan layup gave the Green Wave their largest lead of the day 46 seconds into the second half. Houston cut the deficit to single digits 4:02 later when a Marché Amerson layup made it 46-37, but sophomore guard Danielle Blagg put Tulane back up by 12 the next time down the court with a layup plus a free throw after being fouled while making the shot with 14:40 left to play in regulation. That, however, would be Tulane's final points until the 6:23 mark and the Cougars held the Green Wave to a 0-for-11 performance over the next eight-plus minutes.
During that time, the Houston offense connected on 7-of-14 field goals and 3-of-5 free throws to take an eight-point lead before freshman center Chinwe Duru broke Tulane's drought with a layup to cut the Cougar lead to six. Following a free throw by Houston's Marissa Ashton, the Green Wave scored the next seven points to tie the game at 58-58 with 2:42 to play. The Cougars' Porsche Landry gave her team a two-point lead 1:04 later, Kaplan tied things up two possessions later, and Houston missed a pair of potential game-winning shots in the final seconds to set up the overtime periods.
"I thought we played really hard in the last five minutes of regulation and the two overtimes," Stockton added. "We played about as hard as we can play. It's just tough to fight from a 16-point lead to being down by (eight). It's just a lot of swings to be able to control, and I'm just disappointed.
I recalled this workshop while reading coverage of Which World Bank Reports are Widely Read?, a study that found that nearly one-third of the PDFs on the Bank's website were never accessed. (The Bank's bestseller was Vietnam Development Report 2009: Capital Matters, with 2955 downloads). In era of overcrowded inboxes, getting busy people to do professional background reading is difficult. One of the two consultants mentioned earlier, Gordon Peake (a regular contributor to The Interpreter and author of Beloved Land) co-wrote an academic journal article called Their Reports are not Read and their Recommendations are Resisted: The Challenge for the Global Police Policy Community.
